Virginia Woman, 65, Killed In Loudoun County Car Crash: Sheriff's Office

An Ashburn woman has died in a recent Loudoun County car crash, authorities said.

Deborah Michel, 65, was killed in a crash that happened at the intersection of Windmill Drive and Claiborne Parkway in Ashburn around 11:20 a.m. on Thursday, May 5, the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office said on Facebook.

Initial investigation revealed Michel was traveling west on Windmill Drive when she struck another vehicle going north on Claiborne Parkway, the office said. 

Michel was taken to a local hospital where she later died. The driver of the other vehicle, an adult male, was also taken to a local hospital for treatment, the office continued. 

The crash is under investigation. Anyone with with information is asked to contact police at 703-777-1021.
